Most of us are familiar with the rhyme “Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue”, not all of us are aware there’s actually one more line to this old English tradition which is “a sixpence in your shoe”. These items were meant to act as good luck objects should the bride include them somewhere in her wedding outfit or carry with her on her wedding day.
